China Glaze Santa Red My List

Hi, you guys! Hope those of you in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and everyone's having a great weekend! :)

Today, continuing with the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection, I've got a really stunning jewel tone to share with you. Santa Red My List is a cool-toned magenta red in a shimmery foil metallic finish.

This is a rich and festive shade, exactly what I love for the holidays. Depending on the lighting, it can look more pink or more red. This is another in the collection that has a perfect formula. Each coat goes on smoothly, evenly, and with lots of pigmentation, and you need just one coat for total coverage. :)

You can find Santa Red My List at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7.50 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Elfin' Around

Hi, you guys! :D

Gosh, it's really starting to feel like the holiday season now! Decorations are up everywhere and with Thanksgiving being this week, it means I can officially break out the holiday music without anyone giving me weird looks lol. I love pretty much everything about this time of the year, though my favorite is definitely getting time off from work... can't wait! My least favorite is probably how crazy it gets at the mall, with no place to park, long lines at checkout, and just general madness. What are your favorite/least favorite things about this time of year?

Today, I've got another festive shade from the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection to share with you. Elfin' Around is a warm rusty red with hints of coral and pink in a shimmery foil metallic finish.

Oh my word, look how glowy this polish is! I just love warm reds like this, as they tend to look better on my skintone than cooler reds do. The formula and application is total perfection. It's smooth and even, without any streaking or clumping. And you need just one coat for total opaque coverage! This is definitely one of my favs from the collection, and probably my favorite red from this holiday season's offerings. :)

You can find Elfin' Around at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7.50 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Your Present Required

Hi, you guys! Happy weekend! We've been having a string of sunny days here (really unusual for this time of the year when it's usually rainy), so I've been out and about soaking up the sun. :D

Today, I've got a fun glitter from the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection to share with you. Your Present Required is a colorful mix of small to medium hex glitters in the colors blue, purple, peach, white, and gold all in a sheer base.

I really like the combination of colors in this glitters. It's a little unusual, but they look really great together. The application is a little odd. It's hard to get the glitters to stay in place on the nails as you stroke from cuticle to free edge. They kind of clump together and have a tendency to get dragged along with the brush. I ended up using short dabbling motions, which really helped in getting the glitters to stay in place. I did one coat over Mingle With Kringle, and I just love the way they look together. The gold base really sets off the colors in this glitter. :)

You can find Your Present Required at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7.50 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Mingle With Kringle

Hi, you guys! Hope this week is treating you well so far! :-)

Today, I've got another polish from the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection to share with you. Mingle with Kringle is a rich gold with a shimmery foil metallic finish.

I just love golds like this for the holidays. They're so appropriately festive and jubilant. :) This is a lush shade, with plenty of yellow to bring a lot of warmth and luxury to the gold color. It has a great formula that spreads out easily and applies smoothly. And two even shades is perfect for getting total coverage with the foil particles.

You can find Mingle With Kringle at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7.50 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze There's Snow One Like You

Happy hump day, you guys! :-)

Today, I'm kicking off the twelve-polish China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection with the most unique and unusual of the bunch. There's Snow One Like You is a white texture polish with medium-sized hex glitters sprinkled throughout.

The first coat is easy to apply, but the subsequent coats are a little trickier because the polish is so bumpy. It's hard to get the second layer of polish to go on evenly and fill in all the dips. I ended up doing two coats for the swatches. I messed up my index and tried to add a third coat, but I wouldn't recommend that. It took forever to dry. Once on the nails, it reminds me of a pile of fresh snow or popcorn ceiling, depending on if you like the look or not. :P

You can find There's Snow One Like You at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7.50 for 0.5 fl oz.

KBShimmer Maybe Navy

Hi, you guys! :-)

Today, I wanted to close out what I have to show you from the KBShimmer Winter Collection with another favorite of mine! Maybe Navy is a teal navy blue with tons of blue and purple shimmers and a scattering of small teal glitters.

Isn't this polish just totally amazing?! I wish I could describe it better, but it's like a mixture of different colors that flash all at once, kind of like fish scales. It's so gorgeous in the bottle, and it does not disappoint at all once on the nails. I love that the shimmers are a little bigger, so they give off a slightly chunky look on the nails. Two medium coats on the nails gets you total coverage, or three thin ones if you are more patient than me. :-)

You can find Maybe Navy at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

KBShimmer When the Doves Sigh

Happy Monday, you guys! :)

Today, I've got another lovely shade to show you from the KBshimmer Winter Collection. When the Doves Sigh is a gray creme jelly loaded with lots of small and medium-sized teal, white, pink and purples glitters.

The contrast of the glitters and the base is so fun, with the bright colors popping against the neutral gray base. It has a great formula and an easy application. I didn't have any issues getting the glitters onto the nails, which always makes me happy. There are enough of them that everything goes on smoothly with dense and even distribution of glitters. The base is just a bit more creme than jelly, so it has great pigmentation, and I needed just the standard two coats for total coverage.

You can find When the Doves Sigh at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

KBShimmer Sand In My Stocking

Happy weekend, my gentle readers! Hope yours is off to a swell start! :D I'm going to type out a real quick post, and then go snuggle and play with my chinchilla hehe. :)

Today, continuing with the KBShimmer Winter Collection, I've got a really fun one to share with you. Sand In My Stocking—a blogger collaboration with The PolishAholic—is a colorful glitter filled with predominantly gold and also teal, orange, and brown glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes all in a sheer base.

This glitter is just so crazily fun and sparkly. I applied it over a black creme, and I really love how the glitters just pop against the dark base. The glitter density is so high in this polish that application is a total breeze. I just did one coat over the black for the swatches, and I've already got tons of glitter coverage. I was also able to easily get the large gold stars onto the nails, which is a total plus since they look awesome mixed in with the other glitters.

You can find Sand In My Stocking at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

KBShimmer Snow Much Fun

Hi, you guys! Happy Thursday! :D

Today, I've got another cute polish from the KBShimmer Winter Collection to share with you. Snow Much Fun—a blogger collaboration with The Manicurator—is a light blue jelly filled with blue holographic and white glitters in a variety of sizes ranging from small shimmers to large white snowflakes.

Ah, this is wintry and super cute on the nails, especially with those big white snowflakes. :) Due to its jelly finish, I did three coats by itself, but you can wear this over a complementary base as well. The polish is easy to apply and self-leveling, and it has great glitter density. The large snowflakes are a little tricky to find and place on the nails, but it wasn't too bad overall.

You can find Snow Much Fun at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

KBShimmer Christmas Now

Happy hump day, you guys! :-)

Today, I've got another color from the KBShimmer Winter Collection to show you. Christmas Now—a blogger collaboration with Crystal's Crazy Combos—is a green jelly filled with lots of colorful glitters, including small and medium white square glitters, small and medium pink, gold, and blue round glitters, and larger gold star glitters.

This is such a fun mix of colors and glitter shapes, and highlights the playful side of the holidays. Application is relatively easy. Even though there are medium and larger glitters in here, there's enough glitter density that I didn't have to go fishing. I was easily able to get a good mix of the different glitters, including the big gold stars, to right where I want them. Since this is a jelly, each coat goes on a little more sheer, so you'll need three coats or you can apply it over a base.

You can find Christmas Now at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.
