China Glaze Texture Collection Preview

Hi you guys! Whew, thank goodness this week is over! It's been a pretty rough one, and now I'm at home relaxing and catching up on the press releases from the past week. First, I've got the official info for the China Glaze Texture Collection. It's exciting to see China Glaze's offering for the trend of the moment, so please enjoy. :-)

GETTING DOWN TO THE NITTY GRITTY

China Glaze® Introduces Texture: the Newest Technology in Nail Lacquer

Los Angeles (January 2013): China Glaze® introduces Texture, a unique new lacquer that applies as a crème but dries with a 3D texture effect. Unlike traditional nail art techniques that require multiple steps, Texture only requires one step—painting the nail.  Texture dries matte, but can be combined with China Glaze® Fast Forward Top Coat for a glossy effect. With a finish similar to that of a sugared rim, Texture is the perfect accessory for a beach day, night-on-the-town, or special rendezvous.

In The Rough— light lime-green with textured grit
Itty, Bitty & Gritty— melon with textured grit
Of Coarse!— bright, cobalt-blue with textured grit

Unrefined— bright pink with textured grit
Bump & Grind— hot pinkish-red with textured grit
Toe-tally Textured— tangerine-orange with textured grit

The China Glaze® Texture collection will be available in May 2013 at fine salons and beauty supply stores nationwide.

OPI Tiffany Case

Hi you guys! :-)

Let's wrap up the OPI Bond Girls Collection today with the last but definitely not least of the set. Tiffany Case is a cool-toned icy medium blue full of sparkly blue glitters that dries to a textured matte glitter finish.

The blue base has a hint of teal in it, so that it looks a bit aqua at times. The glitters in here are slightly bigger, so they have a more chunkier look, kind of like sequins. The formula is pigmented and easy to apply, going on glossy and then drying down to the textured finish. You need just the standard two coats for sufficient coverage. A word of caution - this stains a bit, so remove carefully or you may end up with smurf fingers. :-)

Hope you have enjoyed my posts on the OPI Bond Girls Collection. Now that I have tried all the colors, I have to say I love most of this collection! It's brought some unique colors to the textured polish world, and the formulas are fantastic. I have trouble picking a favorite from this collection. Vesper is the only miss for me, but the rest all hit it out of the park! :-) What about you? What are the hits and misses for you, and which will be joining your collection?

You can find Tiffany Case at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Jinx

Hi you guys! Hope your week is going along well! :-)

Today, I've got another gorgeous color from the OPI Bond Girls Collection to share with you. Jinx is a bright coral with golden shimmers and glitters that dries to a textured matte glitter finish.

This is such a rich and sparkly summer color, and definitely a must have for coral-lovers! Depending on the lighting and the warm/cool tones in your skin, it can shift from more of a pink/red coral to more of an orange coral. The formula is great, as expected. The first coat looks more pink, but the second coat adds the depth and richness to the coral color and achieves opaque coverage.

You can find Jinx at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Vesper

Hi there! :-)

I've got another color from the OPI Bond Girls Collection to share with you today. Vesper is a dark murky eggplant purple with black glitters that dries to a textured matte glitter finish.

To me, Vesper is the odd child out in the collection. While all the other colors of the collection are bright and happy, this one is dark and moody. The black glitters in here aren't very sparkly, so they look a bit like pieces of dirt stuck on the nails. The formula is also not like the others. It's thin and the glitters are sparse, so I needed three coats for full coverage. At that number of coats, the base is so dark that it looks almost black under certain lightings. And drying time is quite slow.

You can find Versper at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Honey Ryder

Hi you guys! Mondays are just the worst, aren't they? Hope your week is off to a tolerable start! :-)

Continuing with the OPI Bond Girls Collection, I've got another gorgeous liquid sand polish to share with you today. Honey Ryder is a luxurious gold with sparkly gold glitters that dries to a textured matte glitter finish.

This is a beautiful gold shade. It's not too yellow, so it's compatible with more skin tones and quite wearable. The formula is fantastic, as is usual for this collection. It's smooth and easy to apply, with the glitters and texture particles distributing evenly across the nail. It's also pigmented, so two coats is all you need for opaque coverage.

You can find Honey Ryder at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Pussy Galore

Hi you guys! Is it Sunday already? Gosh, the weekend is just flying by! :-)

Today, I've got another pretty color from the OPI Bond Girls Collection to share with you. Pussy Galore is a shimmery girly pink with sparkly pink glitters that dries down to a textured matte glitter finish.

Just like the other liquid sands, the texture in here comes from not just the glitters, but also sandy gritty particles added for additional textured look and feel. This goes on the nails shimmery and slightly frosty, but dries down to the expected finish. The formula is great on this one. It's smooth and easy to apply, and you need just the standard two coats to reach sufficient opaque coverage.

You can find Pussy Galore at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Solitaire

Hi you guys! Happy weekend! :-)

I wanted to kick off the OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand Collection today! First up in the collection is Solitaire, a  shimmery white with round silver glitters that dry to a textured finish.

Solitaire is beautiful and pristine, like glistening snow on a sunny day. It goes on with a shimmery metallic finish, but dries with the gritty sandy texture you'd expect. The formula is quite good. It goes on evenly and smoothly. The first coat is a little thin, but the second coat fills everything in nicely and reaches opacity. Dry time is a little longer, but that is expected for these textured polishes.

You can find Solitaire at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.
