Zoya Katherine

Another collection that has joined Zoya for Fall 2012 is the NYFW Gloss Collection, comprised of three sheer jelly shades. Today, I'll start off the collection with Katherine, a sheer reddish-purple with a squishy jelly gloss finish.

Katherine was originally released as a part of the limited edition Zoya Peter Som trio earlier this year. Due to its jelly formula, each coat is meant to be sheer and to deliver only a hint of color. You can build up the color as you like with each additional coat. What you see in the swatches is three coats, and you can see that it is still not totally opaque. The squishy jelly looks quite interesting, kind of like grape juice or grape jam.

You can find Katherine on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

    1. Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Yes, it looks a lot more sheer on the nails that it appears in the bottle. :-)

  2. Eish, I just can't finish to like jellies... Man, ain't I stubborn?!

Every time I think about what you told me I can't help to smile! Then you swatc everything on the same day and then file the nails again! It sounds funny! And you must have patience to paint your nails, take it off and start it all over again with another color, for you post around 3 posts a week! It's nice to get to know such things about you :) I hope you let the best color for the end, so you can at least keep it for a while!

    1. Recently, it's been more like 5 or 6 posts a week, so it's a lot of swatching lol. I do it because I normally only change nail polish once a week, and that is too few posts for a blog. :D

But I admit i'm a bit hesitant about a squishy jelly...
Is it just me or do you also not getting all wild over this one?

    1. I couldn't think of anything else to say, to be honest lol. It seems like a pretty straight forward color (without any shimmers, glitters, sparkles, duochrome, etc that I could talk about in my wordy way hehe), so I had a shorter post than normal. ;-)

  6. I love the color, but not so much darker jelly generally, the sheer thing bothers me LOL

    1. Thanks, I'm glad you at least like the color. It is a bit too sheer to wear by itself. :-)

    1. I'm glad you like the color. Hmmm I wonder if you might get the creme look by layering this over a complimentary base color.
