OPI Hands Off My Kielbasa!

Hi hi! Continuing along with the OPI Euro Centrale Collection, I've got another polish from the set to share with you today. Hands Off My Kielbasa! is a tough color to describe. It's a brownish rose and tan color with pink and bronze shimmers in a metallic finish.

This has a pearly sheen to it that depending on the light can look a tad frosty. The formula is great on this, probably helped by the fact that it's a metallic. It's smooth and pigmented. It flows evenly onto the nails without any issues and is opaque in two quick coats. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of this color. The brown shade and the frostiness is a double whammy for me. But that's a personal preference. If those are things you enjoy, then you'll love this color.

You can find Hands Off My Kielbasa at your local nail salons and beauty stores for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

  1. Hmm...your swatches are beautiful as always but I'm not sure I like this color. Something about the shade combined with the fact it's named after meat...lol just not my favorite!

  2. My gran would have been in love with it! Hahaha! It's quite a weird color... maybe some people will think it's so ugly that it's actually nice? We'll see!

  3. LOL Mati you have the best ideas. No doubt! :-P
But I have to agree. Even as a brown lover I don't find anything good in this polish.
I guess it helps that it's opi ;-)
I do like the name though! Not that I have any idea where it came from, but it does sound funny

    1. Haha I'm not sure about the name myself... it's definitely odd, as is most OPI names. :-)

    2. "Kielbasa" means a sausage in Polish, looking at this colour, it is obvious why is it so;)

  4. I agree with the other two - not my color either (even if I am a gran LOL), but the swatches are beautiful..

  5. Beautiful swatches - not my cup of polish either but I like companies that venture out and release "difficult" colors - Christine

    1. True that. Even though it's not for me, I still like that they came out with an unusual color. :-)

  6. I see I'm in the majority, lol... This is the one in the collection I feel the least. There's something about pinks combined with sausage-y names that I'm just not down with, lol. I felt the same about My Very First Knockwurst, and Mrs. O'Leary's Barbecue ( despite the fact that that's a red and doesn't refer to cooking, intentionally... A little distasteful, imo, but I digress). Just leave meat out of nail polish, lol. Maybe I've been vegetarian for too long. ;p

    1. Haha I don't have a problem with meaty names, but I do understand what you mean. I hate eggplant, and whenever a color is describe as eggplant, I always think "ewwww"! :-)

    3. You almost tricked me. I was going to say "much better!", but then I looked it up and it's just another word for eggplant. "ewww!" lol :D

    1. I totally understand! I don't mind frost usually, but I don't like it in this case with the brown base. :-)

  11. I agree with you- the frosty finish and the colour are a pass for me. However, it does still look really nice on you!
