Butter London Ladybird & Lolly - Lolly Brights Collection for Summer 2014

Hi, you guys! How's it going hmmm? :) As I'm writing this, I'm watching reruns of Boy Meets World on tv. Do you guys remember this show? I loved it back in the day and heard that they're making a Girl Meets World series that show the main character all grown up, married with his own kid. Haha... I can't wait to see it. :D

Every year, I look forward to summer for its wonderful array of nail polishes in brilliantly intense shades that encompass all the colors of the rainbow. And so today I'm totally thrilled to be kicking off the first colors of the summer. I've got two of the gorgeous bright shades from the new six-polish Butter London Lolly Brights Collection for Summer 2014 to share with you.

Ladybird
Ladybird is a slightly warm fire engine red with a creme finish. The formula is just spot-on, very pigmented and easy to apply. It glides on effortlessly and leaves behind fantastic coverage. In fact, I could probably get away with just one coat of this for wearing, though I stuck with the standard two for the swatches because imperfections tend to be magnified in pictures. It has a little bit of a squishy, jelly-like finish, which dries to a high gloss shine. It's a very bold and sexy shade for sure. :)

Lolly
Lolly is an intense fuchsia pink with tons of shimmers in a foil glass fleck finish. At certain angles, it looks like there's a hint of gold to the shimmers, but that's rather subtle. It has a great formula and needs just two pigmented coats for total coverage. It's a really bright and saturated shade that looks especially stunning under the sun.

I love both of these colors, but Lolly as a bright pink shimmer is undeniably my favorite of the collection. What do you guys think of these two? Any others from the collection catch your eye?

You can find the Lolly Brights shades on butterlondon.com and at select retailers such as Nordstrom and Ulta for $15 for each 0.4 fl oz.

It's easy to make a pretty color look good in pictures, but would you believe it's even more stunning in person. :)

    1. Glass flecks really are! They're among my favorite finishes, and look especially smashing with bright colors. :) Lolly really does glow, probably even more so in person, if that's possible hehe.

  18. Okay this is so weird! I seem to be developing a love for bright vivid Fuchsia pinks, or strong pinks for that matter. Hahahaha! That said, I'm in love with Lolly! Such intense and saturated colour! And the flecks adds such a wow factor and dimension to the finish ♥.♥
