Julep Caroline

Hi, you guys! :-)

Today I have for you Julep's Caroline, one of the polishes from my October It Girl Maven Box. Caroline has a deep burgundy brown base with tons of mostly red shimmers.

In the shade, away from direct light

If you are a lover of dark vampy fall colors, Caroline is totally for you. It comes from a similar inspiration as OPI's German-icure by OPI, although they are not dupes. German-icure's base is more red while Caroline's is darker and more of a blackened brown. Like a lot of other dark vampy shimmer polishes, the shimmers in Caroline are most noticeable with direct light shining on it. In the shade without direct light, you will see predominantly the base color. This has a fantastic formula. It is buttery and pigmented, and goes on opaque in two coats.

  1. My immediate reaction was hm that looks familiar! Definitely loving the color, but I have German-icure already so I don't need this one :P

    1. They are definitely similar, although there are enough differences to justify owning both. :-)

  4. Wow, SEXY! I love that! It might be a tad too dark without direct lightning, but it's still so gorgeous! Does it stain?
