Butter London Fiddlesticks

Hi you guys! Sorry I'm a little late with this post. I was not feeling well yesterday, and after a trip to the hospital, I'm now back at home resting and catching up on my posts. :-)

Today, I've got another of my picks from Butter London's Holiday 2012 Collection to share with you. Fiddlesticks is a magenta polish with bright pink and black glitters that dries to a semi-matte finish.






This polish is a little disappointing to me. It looks so sparkly and beautiful in the bottle, but not at all on the nails. In the bottle, you see predominantly bright pink glitters, but on the nails, the gritty black glitters take over. Also, I think I used too many strokes on some of the fingers, which caused the black glitters to clump together and resemble dirt specks. It looks so beautiful in the bottle, I feel like I can't dismiss it altogether just yet. Maybe I will give this another chance in the future and I will use top coat with it.

    How are you feeling?? that's the most important thing! I hope the rest did fix you already!

    Yeah I can see your disappointment in this polish because it does look amazingly pretty in the bottle. But I think you need to give it another try and use a top coat! I learned that it usually brings all the shimmers out to play! Give it a try! I am holding my fingers crossed that it'll work ;-)

    hope you feel better! :) i agree with jin, maybe some top coat could help? it has some potential.

    I still kind of like this one, but I agree, it is prettier in the bottle.

    Oh no the hospital! Hope your feeling better...I didn't realize fiddlesticks was so dense...I had the impression it was more of a top coat? Too bad it's all gritty for you!

      Yes it's definitely dense, so best worn by itself instead of as a top coat. :-)

    It's a shame about this polish - those pink sparkles are what makes it in the bottle!

    You are kind of right about the dirt specks LOL - but I think you should try it again with a top coat!

    Are you better yet? I hope you're totally and 100% okay now :)

    I agree with you on the polish: so disappointing! It's evidently gritty :'( I think it's the first Butter London with such a bad finish!

    Hope you are feeling better! It's a shame about the polish! I'm a sucker for a glittery pink but I agree with you that the black clumps are far too pronounced! Thanks for sharing!
