All I Want for Christmas (is OPI)!
OPI Joins Mariah Carey to Launch 18 New Limited Edition Holiday Nail Lacquers
OPI announces
the launch of 18 new limited edition holiday nail lacquers inspired by
recording artist and international superstar Mariah Carey. This seasonal promotion includes an assortment of
red, burgundy, maroon and chocolate brown hues, along with glitter-packed gold,
bronze and pearl shades. Mariah Carey
Holiday also features six new Liquid
Sand™ lacquers, ranging from icy blue to frosted pink to sparkling
graphite. Each of the Liquid Sand
shades showcases OPI’s
groundbreaking technology for a textured, matte finish infused with reflective
sparkle.
“Mariah Carey is truly synonomous with the holiday season,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP
& Artistic Director. “People around the world listen to her festive,
iconic songs – ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ is a personal favorite – and
these 18 lacquers evoke the warmth, beauty, energy and positive spirit that’s
present in Mariah’s music.
“This holiday season is all
about red, glitter and texture for nails,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “With 18 shades, there’s a perfect hue for every
occasion. The 12 crème and glitter lacquers include classic reds, champagne
gold, and warm burgundies, while the six Liquid
Sand shades should be worn without top coat for a matte finish in icy,

I feel like OPI has been in a bit of a rut for a while. Don't get me wrong they have nice colours and every collection has at least one thing I would consider unique. But for the most part a lot of their new stuff seems uninspired.
ReplyDeleteSome of their colors does seem to be a bit repetitive (what's up with all the reds and burgundys?), but I am happy to see a few interesting and unique polishes in there. For me, I'm most looking forward to the glitters and liquid sands. :)
Deletewanna see some swatches from you. specially the frosted blue one
ReplyDeleteThat blue one and the rest of the liquid sands look really interesting to me too! :)
DeleteThis is such a great collection! I wasn't too keen on Mariah's collection last year but this collection seems more sophisticated x
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like this one better. I think the holidays is always a great time for sophisticated and festive shades. :)
DeleteThis seems to be very heavily focused on reds - will be interesting to see swatches. I want to check out I Snow You Love Me (of course, being the glitter fiend I am :p).
ReplyDeleteHa, I thought the same about the reds/burgundys. I Snow You Love Me caught my eye too. I'm really looking forward to the glitters and liquid sands. :)
DeleteI look forward to seeing swatches of these :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maria! :)
DeleteI am ready for swatches. Bring it on Yun :D
ReplyDeleteHehe it'll still be a while before this collection gets released, but I'm looking forward to it too. :)
DeleteI agree - Bring on the swatches! Already loving My Favorite Ornament, I Snow You Love Me and Kiss Me at Midnight (please don't let it stain)!
ReplyDeleteHehe it may be a while before this collection is released. :) I'm looking forward to those three too... as well as the rest of the glitters and liquid sands. :)
DeleteI'm most definitely looking forward to this collection the polishes look so gorgeous. I can't wait to see these pretties on your nails your swatches are always so perfect!! :)
