Nails Inc Royal Botanical Gardens

Hi, you guys! Happy Sunday! :) It's been really hot here for the last week and I hope the heat wave breaks soon. It's been making me so lethargic and grumpy lol.

Today, I've got a shade I picked up a while back on sale from Sephora to show you. Nails Inc Royal Botanical Gardens is a fresh, blue-leaning turquoise with a creme finish.

The formula's great for the most part: smooth and self-leveling. It's a tad runny, so be sure to keep a little distance away from the cuticles during application so they don't flood. Each coat builds up coverage and it achieves opacity in two quick coats. With blue/green colors, it's always hard to capture exactly where they fall in the color spectrum. In person, I think this color is a little more green than it's showing in my pictures.

I love this color because there's a crispness to it that's refreshing. It's not muted and there's no gray in here, unlike a lot of similar shades. I had been eyeing this shade for a while, and I'm glad I snatched it up. I can never resist a turquoise (it's one of my weaknesses), and this one's just stunning! :)

Let me know what you think of this color in the comments below. And is there a color that you can never resist picking up more of?

  4. Ooh! Ooh! Ulta carries Nails Inc. now, too! This one is completely gorgeous on you, so lively yet serene. Perfection. Colors I can't seem to resist-- I usually do a pretty good job of reining it in but reds, burgundies, and nude holos are particular weaknesses. I've found myself with a propensity towards pistachio/lime greens this summer, though....

    1. Thanks Liesl, I'm glad you approve! Lively & serene is spot-on for this. :) I knew of your love for reds and holos, but the lime green is a surprise. Though it makes sense because it's an interesting color and there's been a few such shades this summer that have looked amazing on you. :)

  8. Hi Yun!!! What a beauty!!! It looks perfect on you and it is exactly those shades that triggered the interception in my no-buy attempts - oh and burgundy and any blue are my other weaknesses ;-)

    1. Hi Christine! Yay I'm glad you like this one. Hehe I've given up on no-buys because something pretty always catches my eye and I'd have to break it. Ooh burgundies and blues... those colors look fab on you, especially the blues! Your collection of blues is quite enviable. :D

  12. i have a weakness for blues/aqua/mint! most of my blues are more muted or grey toned but that doesn't mean i don't like colors like this! its so bright and crisp looking its perfect for summer! I personally dont like runny polish though i prefer my polishes a bit thicker

    1. Most of my aquas are more muted too, which is why this one stood out to me so much. :) The runny-ness isn't too bad, but it does take me applying over one nail to get used to it. ^^
