China Glaze Glistening Snow

Today, I've got another beautiful sparkling glitter from China Glaze's Holiday Joy Collection to share with you. Glistening Snow is a silver scattered holographic glitter that sparkles like crazy under the lights.

This glitter reminds me of the two glitters in the China Glaze Safari Collection from earlier this year. The glitter pieces have similar sizes and fine gritty textures, and they have the same scattered holographic effect. Glistening Snow is just a little thicker than usual, probably due to it being a glitter. For the swatches, I used two coats and then dabbed to fill in any remaining blank spots. Even though it still has some thin patches in the pictures, in person you can't see them at all and it looks totally opaque. I wore this by itself, but I think it would also be pretty as a top coat over another color.

You can find Glistening Snow at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.

    1. I'm glad you like it! If the grittiness bothers you, you can always try adding a top coat or Gelous. :-)

  7. Very pretty! Do you have Fairy Dust? Glistening Snow looks a bit whiter, but I'm wondering if it's different enough to purchase. I have Fairy Dust and love it, but I don't want GS if it's that close :)

    1. I don't have Fairy Dust, but from swatches I have seen, Glistening Snow's glitters are considerably more dense than Fairy Dust's. Fairy Dust is most commonly used as a glitter top coat, whereas I would prefer to wear Glistening Snow on its own. Hope that helps! :-)

  12. This one is another that I didn't care too much. I thought it looked similar to fairy dust even though fairy dust is holo glitter. Swatched looks pretty cool :)

  13. So pretty! I've always thought I'm a bigger linear holo fan, but this is so pretty and sparkly that I may have to rethink that. Scattered holos have such a lovely delicacy to them.

    1. I'm a big fan of scattered holos. I think your way of putting it, that they have "lovely delicacy", is spot-on. :-)
