Zoya Neve

Happy weekend! :-) You guys have any plans for the weekend? Nothing much going on with me... just relaxing for the long weekend and making a list of all the places I want to eat over the next few days hehe.

I've got another color from Zoya Satin Collection to share with you. Neve is a dark indigo blue with lots of fine shimmers in a metallic finish.

From the bottle, I thought this color would be more purple on the nails, but it's actually mostly blue with just a small hint of purple. It kind of reminds me of the color of the ink in those old Bic pens. The shimmers in here are plentiful but more subtle due to the dark base. The formula is good, so application is smooth and easy. And two coats is all you need for great coverage.

You can find Neve on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 - $9 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

Happy Friday, everyone! :) Even as we are all trying to hold on to the last bit of the summer, the first official info of the upcoming holiday collections are starting to come out. It looks like OPI is collaborating with Mariah Carey again, and the result is a sizable (18-polish!) collection. In keeping with recent OPI tradition, there is not a single green, but plenty of reds. All the info is below. :-)

I'll link to my reviews once those are up. (All info and images are courtesy of OPI.)

Zoya Giovanna

Happy Thursday! It's the last day of the work week for me. We're taking tomorrow off to make it a four-day holiday weekend, and I'm sooo excited! *does the TGIT dance* But first, I have to make it through today. :D

Let's see... next up in our series on the Zoya Satin Collection is Giovanna. Giovanna is a cool-toned, teal-leaning emerald green with lots of shimmers in a metallic finish.

This is another stunning jewel tone from the fall collection, I must say. The color makes me think of Zoya Holly, though the two are quite different. Holly is the quintessential warm green with lots and lots of golden undertones, while Giovanna is definitely a cool green with lots of blue undertones. Its formula is as good as we've come to expect from Zoya metallics. It goes on smoothly without any applications issues, and two coats is all you need for complete coverage. One thing to note: this polish can stain a bit the skin and cuticles, so be careful with removal.

You can find Giovanna on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 - $9 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

Zoya Maria Luisa

Hi, you guys! Happy hump day, as camels would say! :)

Today, I've got another color from the Zoya Satin Collection to share with you. While the other colors in the collection are all vibrant jewel tones, Maria Luisa is a topper comprised of warm golden flakes in a sheer base.

This is such a pretty topper. The gold flakes instantly jazz up any color, and you can use it for a full-on mani or for just an accent nail. What amazed me the most about this polish though is its formula. The flake density in here is amazing! What you see in the swatches is just one coat over Zoya Mason, and it's already at the perfect coverage. The flakes go onto the nails so evenly and smoothly that it feels like I'm applying a creme polish. There are no bald spots or clumps, just perfectly even distribution of flakes. :-)

You can find Maria Luisa on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 - $9 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

Zoya Mason

Hi, you guys! Sorry for missing yesterday's post. NSYNC's Sunday night VMA performance proved to be too exciting, and I got nothing done for like a whole day lol. :D

But not to worry, I'm back today with another jewel-toned polish from the Zoya Satin Collection. :-) Mason is a rich magenta purple with loads of shimmers in a metallic finish.

The formula for Mason is a little on the thinner side and just a tad watery. The first coat didn't give much pigmentation, but the second coat added a lot and I was able to achieve pretty good coverage with it. It's a lovely purple hue, and I love that it's not too blue-leaning, as purples tend to be. There's enough warmth in here to make this a more universally flattering shade.

You can find Mason on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 - $9 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

Zoya Channing

Hi, you guys! Hope you're having an awesome Sunday! :-) For me, I'm just about to die of anticipation. NSYNC, my favorite band from my teen years, is rumored to be reuniting for a performance at the VMAs tonight!! Eeeek! I couldn't be more excited. Seriously, I haven't felt this giddy since the last time I waited for an NSYNC performance more than 10 years ago lol. :D

Today, I want to kick off the Zoya Satin Fall 2013 Collection. It's a set of vibrant jewel-toned colors, and you guys know how much I love those hehe. So first up is Channing, a rich, rustic, copper-y red with lots of golden shimmers that dries to a metallic finish.

Right from the first strokes onto my fingers, this color just wow-ed me! I think this shade epitomizes the color of fall and its fiery, hue-changing foliage. This is probably my favorite shade from the collection, bound to become a staple in my fall polish wardrobe. The formula is fantastic, coming out in smooth and even coats with minimal streaking. It's also nicely pigmented, so you need just two quick coats and you're ready to go.

You can find Channing on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 - $9 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

KBShimmer You Go Ghoul!

Hi, you guys! Gosh, what a crazy busy week it's turning out to be. I'll be glad when Friday rolls around. I feel like I've definitely earned my keep this week. :)

Today, I've got the last of the colors I've received from the KBShimmer Fall 2013 Collection to share with you. You Go Ghoul! is a black jelly with tons of orange, pink, and purple hexagon and small bar glitters.

Ah this is another stunning polish from the collection, I must say! I think I've found my Halloween polish for this year. :) The formula is great, with a surprisingly good amount of coverage for a jelly. The glitters in here spread out evenly across the nails, making application a breeze. It looked pretty good already at two coats, but I added a third coat for the swatches just to get a little extra pigmentation and glitter density.

Now that I've shown you all the colors I have from the collection, I have to say that I'm having a really tough time picking out favorites from the set. Usually it's easy for me to point to a few that I really love, but this collection is full of of unique, beautiful, and fall-appropriate colors. What's a girl to do except love 'em all? :D I'd love to know what you think of this collection. Were you more successful than me at picking out favorites? Any must-haves that will be joining your stash?

You can find You Ghoul! starting September 1st at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

KBShimmer Excuse Me, I Blurpled

Hi, you guys! We're half-way through the week already. Keep this up and it'll be the weekend in no time! :-)

Today, I've got another beautiful polish from the KBShimmer Fall 2013 Collection to share with you. Excuse Me, I Blurpled is a dark purplish blue jelly with tons of pink and blue hexagon and round glitters.

Does anyone else think the name is totally cute? hehe. The combination of blue and pink and purple is just so pretty. I love those colors together, so this is right up my alley. The first coat is a little thin, but I was amazed by the magic of the second coat. It filled in everything and added a great amount of glitter density, achieving total opacity. And since this is a dark blue, I'm happy to report that there is no staining upon removal. :-)

You can find Excuse Me, I Blurpled starting September 1st at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

KBShimmer Every Nook & Cranberry

Hi, you guys! :-)

Hope you've been enjoying our look at the KBShimmer Fall 2013 Collection so far. Today, I've got another pretty color from the collection to share with you. Every Nook & Cranberry is a cool-toned cranberry red with pink, purple, and gold shimmers that dries to a beautiful matte finish.

The application for this is easy-peasy, thanks to a flawless formula. Each coat goes onto the nails smoothly and evenly without any clumping or dragging. It's nicely pigmented, so two quick coats and you're good to go. It dries to the satiny matte finish that you see in the swatches, which I think is particularly lovely for showing off the shimmers in there. :-)

You can find Every Nook & Cranberry starting September 1st at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

KBShimmer You Autumn Know

Hi, you guys! Hope your week is off to a great start! :-)

Today, I've got another fun polish from the KBShimmer Fall 2013 Collection to share with you. You Autumn Know is a creamy white base with lots of hexagon and and small bar glitters in a variety fall colors (gold, orange and purple).

The colors in this polish epitomizes fall and makes me think of its turning leaves and filtered sunshine. Application is nice and easy with no issues. There's plenty of glitter, so each coat deposits a nice amount onto the nails. They go on smoothly and spread out evenly without much coaxing. Due to the creamy jelly base, I needed three coats to get sufficient coverage.

You can find You Autumn Know starting September 1st at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.
