Priti NYC Australia Summer 2014 Collection

Ah ha, so I haven't been imagining it! This summer has indeed been hotter than usual. On average, we've been running about five degrees warmer every day for the month of July. Yikes! And the trend's continuing so far for August. You can be sure I am counting down the days to fall. :P

In the meantime, I'm taking full advantage by wearing tons of brights and neons, which is one of my favorite nail polish trends. And today, I've got one such collection I've really been enjoying to show you. Priti NYC's Australia Summer Collection is comprised of four intense, bright colors, perfect for this sweltering weather. :)

Priti NYC Baby Blue Eyes

Hi, you guys! Happy 4th of July! Whenever I have a day off from work, I'm so slow with everything, including posting. And I just discovered Candy Crush Saga, so I've been spending all my time trying to level up lol. :-)

Today, I've got another sweet shade from Priti NYC to share with you. Baby Blue Eyes is a soft, slightly dusty cornflower blue with subtle shimmers.

I think this is such a beautiful blue, especially lovely for spring and summer. My camera sometimes has trouble capturing dustiness, so I would say what you see in the swatches is a little brighter blue than in real life. The formula for this is great; it's thin and smooth while still being pigmented. Each coat dries quickly to a glossy shine. The first coat looks a little thin, but the second coat fills everything in and reaches full coverage.

You can find Baby Blue Eyes on PritiNYC.com for $13.50 for 0.43 fl oz, and you can use the code PRITISPECIAL for 10% off valid until August 1st.

Priti NYC Empress Tree

Good morning! Today, I've got another lovely shade from Priti NYC to share with you. Empress Tree is a soft, muted light purple with a hint of gray in a creme finish.

This is such a pretty neutral with just a hint of color. :-) Application is nice and easy for this one. Each coat comes out thin and smooth without any issues. I did three coats to reach total coverage for this color, but it didn't take very long overall because each coat dries quickly to a glossy shine.

You can find Empress Tree on PritiNYC.com for $13.50 for 0.43 fl oz, and you can use the code PRITISPECIAL for 10% off valid until August 1st.

Priti NYC Horned Poppy

Happy weekend! Hope yours is fabulous! We're having a heat wave for a few days, so after I finish this post, I'm going to find a cool place to hide out. :-)

I'm really excited to have received a few Priti NYC polishes to share with you. Today, I'll start off with Horned Poppy, a soft daffodil yellow with subtle silver shimmers in a pearly finish.

Horned Poppy was originally released as part of the four-polish Priti NYC Turkish Sorbet Spring 2012 Collection. It's a flattering and wearable yellow, soft and not too saturated. Like most yellows, it's a little thin and streaky on the first coat, but builds up to even and opaque coverage in three coats. I'm really liking Horned Poppy, both for its color and its formula, and it earns a spot as one of my favorite yellows. :-)

You can find Horned Poppy on PritiNYC.com for $13.50 for 0.43 fl oz, and you can use the code PRITISPECIAL for 10% off valid until August 1st.

Priti NYC Flame of the Forest

Hi you guys! Today I've got another beautiful Priti NYC polish to share with you. Flame of the Forest is a bright coral-ly orange with lots of tiny silver shimmers in a creme finish.

This color just puts me in the mood for warmer weather! I know it's still winter, but I'm totally over it and ready for spring and summer. I miss all the bright and cheerful colors, and this just makes me super happy when I wear it. It's a very flattering orange. It's probably because it isn't too yellow, having enough coral and pink to balance it out. The fantastic formula is typical for Priti NYC – smooth and pigmented, opaque in two coats.

You can find Flame of the Forest on PritiNYC.com for $13.50 for 0.43 fl oz.

Priti NYC Sky Waltz Delphinium

Hi you guys! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! :-) I'm super excited to share another lovely Priti NYC polish with you today. Sky Waltz Delphinium is a light sky blue with a creme finish.

I just adore light blues, and this is a beautiful one! It has just a hint of gray, so that it's a little dusty and doesn't appear too overly bright. It's also not too light, so if you aren't a fan of pastels, don't discount this one because of that. The formula is great. It's smooth and thin, just flowing onto the nails. It's a little streaky on the first coat, but it all evens out with the second one.

You can find Sky Waltz Delphinium on PritiNYC.com for $13.50 for 0.43 fl oz.

Priti NYC Red Maple

Hi, you guys! Hope those of you on the east coast are keeping safe and warm through the winter storm. <3

I just received a few polishes from Priti NYC, and I'm super excited to share them with you. Today I'll start off with Red Maple, a bright pink-coral with a creme finish.

Red Maple was originally released as part of the four-polish Priti NYC's Turkish Sorbet Spring 2012 Collection. The formula is thin and even, and applies well without any issues. It is opaque in two coats, and drying time is nice and quick.

This color is quite bright on the nails, and I love that! Depending on the lighting, you'll see more pink, coral, or even a bit of orange. If you have warmer tones in your skin, I think this will show up more orange for you; if you are cooler, you'll probably see more pink.

You can find Red Maple on PritiNYC.com for $13.50 for 0.43 fl oz.

Priti NYC Ruffled Velvet Iris

Happy Friday! :-) The end of this week totally crept up on me. One minute it was Monday, I had a whole week to get things done, and I was definitely on track. Next minute, it's Friday, I haven't gotten much of anything done, and I'm totally behind. Ah ya!

Today, I have yet another beautiful polish from Priti NYC to share with you. Ruffled Velvet Iris is a deep, velvety royal purple with lots of fine shimmers in a metallic finish.

The formula is excellent, as is usual for Priti NYC polishes. It comes out smooth, thin, and pigmented, needing just two coats for opacity. It dries fast, so wait time between coats is minimal. And even though this is a metallic, there is barely any perceptible brush strokes.

I'm a total sucker for rich, vibrant colors like this, especially for the fall. The clouds here in the Pacific Northwest get so thick and gray that they cast their dark gray shadow over everything. It looks like color has been wiped out from the world. In such gray times, it's incredibly comforting to look down and see some pretty colors on my nails. :-)

You can find Ruffled Velvet Iris on PritiNYC.com for $12.50 for 0.43 fl oz.

Priti NYC Love Patt

Hi you guys! Today, I have another lovely Priti NYC polish to share with you guys. Love Patt is a fresh, grassy green with a creme finish.

Love Patt is a little thinner, so I did three coats for what you see in the swatches. It also has a sheer, squishy texture that makes it look somewhat like a jelly. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, though drying time between coats is a minute or two longer than usual. This is a fun, interesting green that is unique in my stash.

You can find Love Patt on PritiNYC.com for $12.50 for 0.43 fl oz.

Priti NYC Lungwort

Hi you guys!

I have just received a few lovely polishes from Priti NYC, and I am so excited to share them with you. Today I'll start off with the most cheerful, summery one. Lungwort is a bright, pastel aqua with a creme finish, and it was originally released as part of Priti NYC's Turkish Sorbet Spring 2012 Collection.

This has a wonderfully smooth and buttery formula. It goes onto the nails easily without any pooling, lumping, or dragging. The first coat is a little streaky, but it all evens out and is opaque with the second coat.

While a lot of the pastels I have seen lately have been on the more muted and dusty side, this pastel is unapologetically bright. I love that the color just jumps out at me from the nails. As we approach the colder winter months, I think I will be wearing this one quite a lot to ward off the winter blues. :-)

You can find Lungwort on PritiNYC.com for $12.50 for 0.43 fl oz.
