Happy weekend, my gentle readers! Hope yours is off to a swell start! :D I'm going to type out a real quick post, and then go snuggle and play with my chinchilla hehe. :)
Today, continuing with the KBShimmer Winter Collection, I've got a really fun one to share with you. Sand In My Stocking—a blogger collaboration with The PolishAholic—is a colorful glitter filled with predominantly gold and also teal, orange, and brown glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes all in a sheer base.
This glitter is just so crazily fun and sparkly. I applied it over a black creme, and I really love how the glitters just pop against the dark base. The glitter density is so high in this polish that application is a total breeze. I just did one coat over the black for the swatches, and I've already got tons of glitter coverage. I was also able to easily get the large gold stars onto the nails, which is a total plus since they look awesome mixed in with the other glitters.
You can find Sand In My Stocking at KBShimmer.com for $8.75 and HarlowandCo.org for $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

I LOVE this polish, I've always been so drawn to the beach :)
ReplyDeleteI think this would be opaque in two coats. An amazing polish for sure!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think so... it's definitely dense enough. :) I'm glad you like it!
DeleteWhat a fun take on a Christmas polish! It reminds me of when we were in Disney World right before Christmas, except for the northern cold front that showed up on our second day, lol.
ReplyDeleteHehe... I'm glad you like this! It's an unusual Christmas polish, but that's what makes it fun. :)
DeleteWhoa this is a crazy glitter bomb. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYay, I'm so glad to hear that! :)
DeleteHi Yun - Jen did an awesome job here!!! I love that while looking festive Sand in my Stocking can change its look totally depending on the base color!!! <3 stunning on you <3
ReplyDeleteDefinitely... I'm so glad you like it! :) I swatched over black because I think that makes the glitters the easiest to see, but I can probably get a beachier feeling by wearing it over a nude texture. :)
DeleteI don't know which I like better - the idea of snuggling with chinchilla or this polish. It seems it has quite good coverage.
ReplyDeleteHehe I'm glad you like this! But it's hard to beat snuggling with a chinchilla, especially a slightly unfriendly, squeaky one, like I have lol. :D
DeleteYay for snuggle-able pets! They're really outdoing themselves with this line--all of these glitters look fantastic and I haven't seen anything that looks like a dupe for other popular glitters (or maybe I don't get out much, hehe). These are so crazy thick, the coverage looks great.
ReplyDeleteSnuggly pets are the best, as you well know of course! :D Yea, this one's so unique and fun, I really like it too. :)
DeleteThat was the first word that popped in my head to describe this polish--crazy! haha Interesting in a good way.
ReplyDeleteFor sure! I'm glad you like it! :)
DeleteI really like this polish...it's quite lovely, but it reminds me of living here by the ocean when it's 72 on Christmas day. UGH. :P Awww, I love watching chinchilla videos...those little things are crazy, LOL...
ReplyDeleteIs that how warm it is for you on Christmas? That sounds heavenly! I would totally trade my cold rainy Christmas for yours. :P Hehe yes, chinnies are crazy little squeakers... that's why I love mine. :D
DeleteThis one is my least favourite I think because is not as unique has the other ones :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't like this one! :)
DeleteDefinitely loving the colour mixes in this bottle! I like how they resemble beach/sand and sea which in my opinion, makes it suitable to wear any time of the year! Not to forget those amazing glitter mixes! Though, I'm not sure if I'd appreciate the star there. Feels like it'll be really pokie. YET, I know its the addition of star that makes this polish all the more unique! Hahaha, hmm I guess this is one that I can't truly tell until I get my hands on it! ;)
ReplyDeleteHehe I'm glad you like this! I think it's great fun too. Lol as for the star, you can totally control not putting it on if you don't like it. :)
