OPI Coca-Cola Collection

Hi, you guys! Happy Sunday! Do you have any plans for Father's Day? We have a fur baby (Dan the chinchilla), so we'll be celebrating Chin Father's Day haha. I have a small surprise for the hubby, but I can't say what because he's proof-reading this post for me. :)

OPI collaborated with Coca-Cola to come up with polishes inspired by their beverages, and I have the resulting nine-piece Coca-Cola by OPI Collection to share with you today.

You're So Vain-illa
You're So Vain-illa is a light nude beige with a creme finish. While most nudes have some yellow or pink undertones, this one has mostly a brown one, reminding me of the color of vanilla mochas. It's a surprisingly interesting neutral that looks chic and classic on the nails. The formula's a little thin and patchy, so I used three coats for the swatches.

Sorry I'm Fizzy Today
Sorry I'm Fizzy Today is a peachy pink with a cream finish. I used three coats for the swatches. It's a really pretty shade, perfect for a summer pedicure.

Coca-Cola Red
Coca-Cola Red is your standard fire engine red with a creme finish. It's bright, rich, and pigmented, one of those sexy reds that's sure to get your nails noticed. I used two coats for the swatches, but the formula's so good that you can probably stop at just one coat.

Get Cherried Away
Get Cherried Away is vampy, reddish plum purple with a creme finish. I used two coats for the swatches.

A Grape Affair
A Grape Affair is a dark grape-purple with a creme finish. This is quite dark, about as dark purple as you can get while still looking purple and not black. I used two coats for the swatches.

Green on the Runway
Green on the Runway is a green durochrome that also flashes red/brown in a taupe base with a shimmery metallic finish. This is the one that I was most looking forward to from the collection and it does not disappoint. Not only do I applaud OPI for including a green in the collection, but it's a duochrome to boot! The duochrome is a bit shy on camera, but you can see it edge in around the sides and cuticles in the pictures above. I used three coats for the swatches, but would probably find it sufficient at two coats for wearing.

My Signature is "DC"
My Signature is "DC" is a silver shimmery foil metallic. It's pigmented and easy to apply. I used two coats for the swatches.

Today I Accomplished Zero
Today I Accomplished Zero is a black jelly filled with small red glitters. This is such a fun and interesting polish. The first coat was a little thin but it builds up nicely. There are plenty of glitters, so you get a good amount with each stroke. I used three coats for the swatches.

Orange You Fantastic!
Orange You Fantastic! is filled with orange, red, gold, and silver glitters in a sheer orange base. This is another really interesting and fun polish from the collection. I'm showing it with three coats by itself in the swatches, but you can also layer it over an existing base for an interesting combo.

Overall, this is mostly a pretty typical OPI collection with a few standouts. Half the collection is comprised of neutral/red/vampy cremes, which we see fairly frequently in OPI collections. But the other half is more interesting and unique, with two glitters, a foil, and a duochrome. My favorite from the collection is definitely Green on the Runway. It's unique and stunning, and an absolute must-have from the collection. :)

How do you like this collection? Any colors jump out at you and will be making their way into your stash? Let me know in the comments below. :)

You can find the Coca-Cola shades at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for each 0.5 fl oz bottle.

    1. Vain-illa was a fantastic surprise for me too. I thought it would just be a neutral polish, but it's quite chic and a flattering color to wear. :)

  4. I'm with the others ^^ great photos!!! I managed to get the mini set of these the other day, but it doesn't have Orange You Fantastic! - wasn't not so taken by it but now looking at your photos I'm tempted!!!! They are the best I've seen of this collection :-)

LOL my husband proof reads my posts too - I'm bad for typos! He knows so much about polish now it's scary - but at least he's interested in my hobby :-)

    1. Thank you so much! <3 Orange You Fantastic is totally fun and unique, and I think one of the standouts from the collection. :) Ha, it's nice to know I'm not the only polish blogger who ropes in their hubby for help. He's very good at catching my mistakes, and as a result, he knows alot about polish too lol. These poor guys. :D

    1. Hehe I have a craving for vanilla coke. :) I think Zero's so fun and unique! It makes me think of fall, and I'm sure I'll be wearing it around Halloween. :)

  8. I really like Today I Accomplished Zero. The green duochrome is interesting too but not a shade I'm personally drawn to. A lot of the other polishes in this collection seem like classic standard OPI colors but they would be good for someone with a smaller polish collection who doesn't have something similar yet. OPI polishes always have a good formula and wear time in my experience :)

    1. Zero's really interesting and fun, so I can see why you like it. :) OPI usually offers a lot of standard colors in their collections, so it's fun to see them step outside of the box and do something unique and cool with a few of the polishes in this collection. :) Yep, OPI always wears fantastic for me too!

  9. Hi Yun - beautiful swatches!!! And there isn't a single shade that does not look stunning on you!!! My favorite out of the bunch is A Grape Affair, this super dark without black purple talks Christine here ;-)! I am a bit surprised thougj that Opi gives us so many "regulars" in one of their themed collections, I was under the impression that they save them up for the seasonal ones and give us some more out of the box stuff in those themed collections.... <3

    1. Hi Christine! Thank you so much, I'm glad you like this collection. :) Hehe I can totally guess that you were going to love A Grape Affair. I'm happy to take any interesting polish that OPI gives us. For instance, it's so rare to see an OPI green that I immediately swooned for Green on the Runway! :D

  13. This is actually a really exciting collection and so many of these colors look made for you! I'm LOVING Cherry, Grape, and Green. Zero looks really cool, too, like one of those WetnWild tombstone polishes but with a much nicer formula. I'd say it's time I paid my Ulta a visit but alas, I'm on a no-buy, lolol. Saaaaad face.
