China Glaze Man Hunt

Today, I have another polish from the China Glaze On Safari Fall 2012 Collection to share with you! Man Hunt is a dark blue creme.

Usually I'm quite wordy when I'm describing polishes (as I'm sure you guys have noticed :P), but I don't have much to say about this color. It's a pretty straight forward dark navy-blue creme. The formula is not too thick or thin, which makes application easy. Color payoff is great, and it is opaque in two coats. My only small complaint is that dark blue isn't a color I normally associate with the safari, which conjures up in my mind greens, yellows, and browns, so I'm not sure if this color entirely fits in with the theme of this collection.

You can find Man Hunt at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.

  2. I agree with you - this color is not really connected with the collection theme. Nevertheless it is gorgeous and I think it suits you very much.
When the price for these polishes will drop a little, I might even bring it home ;-)

  4. Kind of a darker version of First Mate, maybe? It's gorgeous anyhow. Back to basics...

    1. Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I don't have First Mate, but from swatches I have seen, it looks like First Mate is a bit darker and more navy than Man Hunt. :-)

  6. Man Hunt, in relation to Safari, sounds a little bit...unpleasant, shall we say? And such a pretty color should never be associated with such an event! Lol. It sounds more like an OPI name, lol. Gorgeous swatch, though. :)

    1. Haha I was trying not to think too much about the meaning of the polish name, because it does seem a little bit unpleasant. At least this name is not for a red polish lol. :-)

  9. It looks so smooth and glossy on your nails! Lovely colour, if not the most unique.
