Zoya Sunshine

Good morning! :)

Today, I've got another color from the Zoya Fall PixieDust Collection to share with you. Sunshine is a slightly muted dark navy/denim blue with lots of silver glitters that dry down to a textured matte glitter finish.

Sunshine's formula is a lot like Chita's. It's pigmented and maybe just a tad on the thick side, though still easy to control. One coat is definitely sufficient to obtain total coverage, and that's what you see in the swatches. :) My only beef with this polish is that the name is a little odd. Sunshine makes me think of warm-toned yellows and oranges... maybe even reds if we're stretching it. It definitely doesn't make me think of cool-toned denim blues lol. :D

You can find Sunshine on Zoya.com for $9 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 - $9 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

  1. I was confused why this polish was named Sunshine, but then I found this piece of trivia: "Did you think it was odd that the blue was called Sunshine? This is named after Sunshine Outing, the celebrity manicurist who came up with a navy Pixie Dust shade for the Timo Welland Show at NYFW by layering Godiva, Dahlia, and Nyx!"

    It is a gorgeous shade.

  3. I like the trivia behind the name! I thought it was odd too :) But it is very pretty, more like denim than a shiny navy polish imo!

  15. I agree with you about the name. 'Sunshine' really doesn't suit a cool tone such as this. However, the colour is lovely. Great for causal jeans days :) x
