I've got the last of my picks from the China Glaze Hologlam Collection to share with you today. When Stars Collide is a slightly-muted, dark plum purple that dries to a linear holo.
The formula is just as good on this one as with the rest of the collection. It applies evenly and smoothly with no application issues, and is opaque in two coats.
Overall, I really like the Hologlam Collection. It contains both traditional holographic colors and more original ones, so it has something for everyone - those looking to start their collection of linear holos as well as those looking to add to their existing collection. The holo effect in this collection is definitely not-in-your face, but I think that's part of the charm. There's enough holo to be fun and interesting, but it's subtle enough to make these polishes appropriate for every day wear.
I'd love to know what you think of this collection in the comments below. Do you like the soft holos or are they too subtle for you? Which ones will be making it onto your wishlist?
You can find When Stars Collide at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $14 for 0.5 fl oz.

This is my favourite of the lot. It is both interesting and office-friendly. I like the subtle holo because it is more wearable than the more prominent one.
