Hi you guys! :-)
I'm so excited to have the Zoya Summer PixieDust Collection to share with you. Today let's kick it off with Solange, a bright sunshine golden yellow with tons of sparkly gold glitters that dry to a textured matte glitter finish.
This is such a bright and cheerful color, and works well as a matte texture, making the result quite striking! Zoya says that part of the sparkle comes from a "Zoya exclusive gold pigment". The formula is very good in this one. It's quite easy to apply, spreading out evenly across the nail. The glitters and extra grit particles are quite dense, and the polish is pigmented, so you need just the standard two coats for opaque coverage. Dry time feels decently fast, especially considering it's a textured polish.
You can find Solange on Zoya.com for $9 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 - $9 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

It's lovely! Just a tad too christmassy for now IMHO!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it! That's funny, I didn't make the connection to the holidays until a few of you guys mentioned it to me... yes I do see it now. Still great for this time of the year though hehe. :-)
DeleteIt looks like a gold glitter bomb! Intrigued for sure. Too bad I don't like the idea of a textured nail.
ReplyDeleteGlitter bomb for sure! :-)
DeleteThat looks like if you've got little jewels on your nails. Way cool!!
ReplyDeleteAww your nails are wearing a golden, fuzzy sweater ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely swatches as always!
Hehe they only look fuzzy and soft... they feel harder than they look. Thank you! :-)
DeleteIt looks like a liquid gold <3 love it!
ReplyDeleteIt does! I'm glad you like it! :-)
DeleteIt looks wonderful! Hahaha Mati is right, there's something Christmassy about it but i don't think it would stop me from wearing it in mid summer :-P
ReplyDeleteI am wondering though - one of the things I noticed with most of the textures I tried is the relatively easy removal. Is it the same with these or is this requires a "glitter removal" process?
I'm glad you like it, Jin! Haha I didn't even think of Christmas till Mati mentioned it. For me, the yellowness of it makes it not as Christmassy and just as good for summer. :D Removal is not bad at all, it's just as you say... somewhere between a foil/shimmer and a full-on glitter. :-)
Delete:-D Thanks!!
DeleteHi Yun - how exiting to get introduced to the new Zoya Pixie Dust polishes!!! This looks beautiful on you - I wonder how it compares to the Opi Bond Girl polish - Honey something, right? I guess this is a tad more yellow gold? A real stunner :-)!!! And very glam seventies I find - Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Christine! I'm glad you like this! Yes exactly, it's much more yellow than Honey Ryder. Solange is slightly more yellow than gold to my eyes. :-)
Deletethis is one of the pixies that i am most excited about. it's so sparkly and gold!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like this! It's one of my favs from this collection! :-)
DeleteMy oh my that is gorgeous! I NEED that one in my life. Lol. :)
ReplyDeleteHehe for sure you do! :-)
DeleteThat's pretty, though it looks more like a Christmas polish than a summer one.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it! Hehe I didn't even think of Christmas until a few of you ladies mentioned it. Yes I can definitely see that, though for me, the yellow makes it more of a summer color. :-)
DeleteI admit I immediately thought Christmas, too, lol. It's beautiful, though, and there is something especially glamorous about gold polishes in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like this, Liesl! Haha I totally missed the Christmas connection until a few of you guys mentioned it to me. It would definitely be great for the holidays, but since it's quite yellow, I think it's great for the summer too. Very sunshine-y! :-)
DeleteGreat color for Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteHehe for sure! But also for summer! ;-)
Deletei think this one look really cool! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I think so too! :-)
