OPI Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue

Hi lovelies! It's Thursday, the week is winding down, and that means the weekend is almost here. I can't wait. This has been a stressful week for me. We had our annual performance review at work over the last few days. I am relieved that the outcome is I have a job for another year and don't have to worry about this again until next year. ;-)

Continuing with OPI's Germany Collection, we have now come to the jewel and vampy colors. Today I have Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue, a dark blue with shimmers and a metallic finish.

The shimmers in here are of a medium blue color, and serve to really brighten up this polish and add a lot of depth to the color. There is just a hint of gold in the blue shimmers, so that at times you will see some flashes of green if you are looking carefully. This one reminded me a lot of Zoya Song, so I dug that out for a quick side-by-side. As it turns out, Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue leans more green, is less intense in color, and does not have the chunky shimmers that Song has.

You can find Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue at your local nail salons and beauty stores for $8.50 for 0.5 fl oz.

  1. Yun! I am glad the evaluation went well / wonderful / spectacular! It's a great relief, so I am sure you'll enjoy this weekend 250 %
Have you chosen where you are going to celebrate it (food wise)? ;)

This color is beautiful, I can't deny it. But it's too dark for my taste. I have some similar polishes in my stash and never reach to them... Sad, indeed.

    1. Thanks so much, I am relieved as well. Actually, we've already gone to several dinners this week to celebrate. But I'm sure we'll fit a few more celebratory meals in during the weekend. ;-)

  2. Greta is such a pretty girl, but I think not one to stand so much out from the crowd, that i would buy her - but if I hadn't a color like her, I for sure would buy her!

  3. YAY I'm so glad to hear you get to not worry about work for a whole year!!! Congratulations!!

This is a gorgeous blue but it looks too familiar somehow. Any chance you have Julep Marisa for a quick comparison?

    1. Thanks so much, I'm quite relieved as well. It's a nice feeling to not have to worry for another year. :-)

I had Julep Marisa, but a friend of mine "borrowed" it, and I have not seen it since. If I remember correctly, Marisa is considerably darker and more of a navy blue that looks almost black under certain lighting, while Greta is a brighter and lighter blue with shimmers that show more prominently. Hope that helps! <3
