OPI Alcatraz... Rocks

Hi, you guys! Hope your weekend is going well! :-)

Today, I wanted to share with you the last of my picks from the OPI San Francisco Fall Collection. Alcatraz... Rocks is a dark steel blue with hoards of different colored glitters—green, pink, and blue—that all dries down to a gritty, textured finish.

Ok, I'm totally in love with this one! It's so sparkly and pretty, and the texture really enhances the multi-colored glitters in here. The formula is flawless. Each coat goes on smoothly, with the glitters and texture particles distributing evenly across the nails. And two coats is all you need for total opaque coverage. :)

I think overall, this collection has quite a few gems. Of my picks, my absolute must-haves are Peace & Love & OPI and Alcatraz... Rocks. Now that you've seen my picks from this collection, I'd love to know yours. Which colors will be making it into your stash?

You can find Alcatraz... Rocks at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Embarca-Dare Ya!

Hi, you guys! Happy weekend! :D

Today, I've got another pretty polish from the OPI San Francisco Fall Collection to share with. Embarca-Dare Ya! is a rich, jewel-toned reddish magenta with tons of pink shimmers.

Ah, the shimmers are so glowy in this! :) Depending on the light source, you'll see more pink under natural lighting and more red under artificial lighting. There's a tiny bit of gold shimmer in the bottle that doesn't quite translate onto the nails, but it does add to the depth of the color. The formula is great, so application is smooth without any clumping or streaking. And it's opaque in two quick coats.

You can find Embarca-Dare Ya! at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Muir Muir on the Wall

Hi, you guys! :-)

Today, I've got another color from the OPI San Francisco Fall Collection to share with you. Muir Muir on the Wall has a dark smoky brown base with tons of purplish burgundy shimmers that come out to play when the light hits it.

If you're like "hey, this kind of looks familiar", you're not alone. Shimmery vampy shades seem to be a forte of OPI's and we've seen a few similar colors from last year's fall Germany Collection. The first coat of Muir Muir is a little on the thin side, but the second coat does a good job of filling almost everything in, so I left it at that for the swatches.

After some reflection, I think I have a love/hate relationship with colors like this. They are so pretty and glowy under strong direct light, but so blah in the shade. And since fall is a time marked by darker skies and less light, I'm not sure it's really the best time to show off polishes like this to their potential. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. :-)

You can find Muir Muir on the Wall at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Peace & Love & OPI

Hi, you guys! This week is just flying by! Sometimes that's a good thing. But sometimes, I'm like "Noooo slow down... I need to get stuff done." Lol. It's definitely the latter this week. :-)

Today, I've got another of my picks from the OPI San Francisco Fall Collection to share with you. Peace & Love & OPI... gosh, how do I even begin to describe this? It's like an oil slick on your nails. The base is a dark gray metallic, and it has duochrome shimmers that shift from teal to purple.

The duochrome is so strong and beautiful in this. When you look at it straight on, you'll see teal shimmers in the center and purple shimmers around the edges. Then as you tilt your hand, the more you tilt, the more you'll see the purple move in from the edges. The formula is great, so application is nice and easy. Two thin coats and you're good to go. :-)

You can find Peace & Love & OPI starting today (August 7th) at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Haven't the Foggiest

Hi, you guys! Hope you're all having a great week! :-)

Today, I've got another of my picks from the OPI San Francisco Fall Collection to share with you. Haven't the Foggiest is a platinum silver-gray with a shimmery foil finish.

This shade of silver is a little darker than your usual shade of silver, which makes it appropriate and lovely for fall. The formula is fantastic, with each coat going onto the nails smoothly and evenly. It's also nicely pigmented. The first coat is a bit patchy due to the foil particles, so I did a second coat just to be extra sure of total coverage.

You can find Haven't the Foggiest starting August 7th at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI Dining Al Frisco

Hello! Happy Sunday! :-)

OPI is set to release their 15-polish fall geographic collection inspired by San Francisco this month, and it's comprised of six cremes, six shimmers, and three liquid sands. Due to the size of this collection, I'm going to be showing you a selection of my picks of the most interesting colors. :-) First up today is Dining Al Frisco, a medium sky blue with a hint of denim and lots of fine silver and blue shimmers in a metallic finish.

This is such a pretty blue, with enough brightness to catch your eyes and make it fun for fall. It has a lovely formula; it's smooth and easy to apply, with enough pigmentation for total coverage in two quick coats. It's not very streaky for a metallic. You'll see some streaks at the time of application, but most of that disappears once the polish is dry.

You can find Dining Al Frisco starting August 7th at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.
