Ah ha, so I haven't been imagining it! This summer has indeed been hotter than usual. On average, we've been running about five degrees warmer every day for the month of July. Yikes! And the trend's continuing so far for August. You can be sure I am counting down the days to fall. :P
In the meantime, I'm taking full advantage by wearing tons of brights and neons, which is one of my favorite nail polish trends. And today, I've got one such collection I've really been enjoying to show you. Priti NYC's Australia Summer Collection is comprised of four intense, bright colors, perfect for this sweltering weather. :)

OPI Neons Collection - Summer 2014
Hi, you guys! Hope you're in the midst of a great week! :) I had a long holiday weekend, which went by way too fast as usual, and I made the mistake of doing too much. So I came out of it really exhausted and just spent yesterday in a daze trying to recover and mentally get back to work. :P
Today, I've got the new Neons by OPI Collection to share with you. This set of six bright shades are the first full-size neons that OPI is adding to its permanent collection. (About time, yep!) If you guys know me, you know I love neons, so you can imagine my sheer excitement here. Just a quick note: a white base was released with this collection, but all the swatches below are without it (more on that below). But enough jibber jabber... here are the colors! :D

OPI Coca-Cola Collection
Hi, you guys! Happy Sunday! Do you have any plans for Father's Day? We have a fur baby (Dan the chinchilla), so we'll be celebrating Chin Father's Day haha. I have a small surprise for the hubby, but I can't say what because he's proof-reading this post for me. :)
OPI collaborated with Coca-Cola to come up with polishes inspired by their beverages, and I have the resulting nine-piece Coca-Cola by OPI Collection to share with you today.

NARS Orgasm
Hi, you guys! Happy hump day, as the camels would say. Half of the week is still left, but I'm already counting down the days till the weekend. :)
Today, I've got a color that is well-known in the nail polish world to show you. NARS Orgasm is a cult favorite, with an eyebrow-raising name and a high price-tag. It has been on my wishlist for quite some time, so I was thrilled when I finally got my paws on it.
It's a soft, blush peach with tons of strong golden shimmers. The formula is on the sheer side, which is evident after the first coat, though the coverage does build up. What you see in the swatches is three coats, and it still has some visible nail lines at that, but the slight bit of sheerness doesn't bother me and I would wear it like that.
I love how strong the golden shimmers are, but they do contribute to making the whole polish look orange, which is a bit disappointing. I had hoped it would retain more of its signature soft blush color once on the nails, but with each coat, it gets more orange, which is another reason I wouldn't go past three coats.
Overall, I'm torn on this polish. On the one hand, I love the idea of it and it looks stunning in the bottle. But once on my nails, combined with my skintone, it loses some of its charm and takes on a more prosaic orange hue, though it's still lovely. To be honest, I'm not sure it's worth the full retail price of $19. Thankfully, my bottle was pre-owned and I got it for a really good price, so I don't regret buying it and am super happy to fulfill a long-time lemming. :)
What do you guys think? If you have this, do you love it? Has there been a polish that's a huge lemming of yours, and did it live up to your expectations?

Zoya Tickled Collection - Summer 2014
Hi, you guys! Happy weekend! This week has been really busy, so I'm glad to finally have some time for relaxation. There's this new Chinese restaurant that opened near us last week, and it's so good! The hubby and I have been there five times already haha. More and more, I've realized that the quality of my life correlates directly to my access to yummy food. Food is definitely most important in my life lol. :D
Today, I've got Zoya's summer creme collection to share with you. The Zoya Tickled Collection features six new cremes in a variety of colorful, exuberant summer hues.

Nicole by OPI Half-Charming Half-Alarming
Hi, you guys! TGIF, right?! I'm sooo looking forward to the weekend hehe. :)
Today, I wanted to wrap up with the last of the four polishes I've received from the Nicole by OPI Tink Collection. Half-Charming Half-Alarming is a bright red that pulls just a smidgen coral with a creme finish.
Just like the rest of the collection, this has a great formula. It's thin and smooth, making application a breeze. Each coat dries quickly to a glossy shine. And it's pigmented, so two coats and you're all good to go. The touch of coral in the red combined with the glossy shine makes this look like a juicy watermelon shade. :-)
You can find Half Charming Half Alarming exclusively at Walgreens for a retail price of $7.99 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Shell-O
Hi, you guys! Happy start of the new week! Hope your weekends were fun and relaxing! :)
Today, I've got one of the jellies from the new China Glaze Sunsational Collection to share with you. Shell-O is a bright coral pink with a sheer jelly finish.
The application is surprisingly even, coming out in thin and smooth coats, with each coat drying to a glossy finish. And there's enough pigmentation to build up coverage nicely. What you see in the swatches is three coats. Although it's still a little bit translucent at that, the slight sheerness works well with the jelly texture.
You can find Shell-O at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Neon & On & On
Hi, you guys! Happy Thursday! :) I've got a short week this week because of our office move, so I just have to make it through today and finish packing my office, and then I'll have a 3-day weekend. Yay! :D
Today, I've got another fun creme from the China Glaze Sunsational Collection to share with you. Neon & On & On is a bright coral pink with a creme finish.
This is another fun and bright color in the collection! This was a tough shade to capture though. Depending on the lighting, the amount of brightness that comes through varies, as does the amount of pink or coral in the shade. It dries just a shade brighter on the nails than what you see in the bottle. The formula is thin, so I needed three coats for everything to even out and get good coverage.
You can find Neon & On & On at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.

OPI A Definite Moust-Have
Hi you guys! Hope your week is going well! :-)
Today, I've got another of the pretty colors from the OPI Couture de Minnie Collection to share with you. A Definite Moust-Have is a bright medium pink with some red and coral undertones and subtle silver shimmers in a pearly finish.
This color is so intense and rich, it reminds me of a ripe watermelon. The fine silver shimmers are most noticeable in the bottle, translating to a pearly sheen that adds depth to the color once on the nails. The formula is great and easy to apply. It goes on thinly and smoothly without any issues, and is opaque in two quick coats. Without a doubt, this is my favorite from the collection. It's a color that just screams summer to me, and I'm all about that right now. This is definitely the moust-have of the collection! (*nudges* I made a pun... get it? hehe.)
You can find A Definite Moust-Have at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

Essie Come Here!
Happy weekend! Hope yours has been filled with lots of fun and relaxation. :-)
You can find Come Here! on Essie.com, at your local nail salons and drug stores, and at big name retailers like Target and Macy's for $8 for 0.46 fl oz.

I'm so excited to have the Essie Resort 2013 Collection to share with you, and I wanted to kick it off today with the first of the bunch. Come Here! is a bright rich red-coral with a creme finish.
This is such a great summer color. While there are a lot of coral polishes out there, there's a certain intensity and depth to this color that makes it stand out from the rest. On the coral color spectrum, I would say this one is about as red as you can go while still retaining coral status. The formula is lovely—smooth, even, and pigmented, making application a breeze. Two coats is all you need for total opaque coverage.

Zoya Destiny
Hi you guys! Happy middle-of-the-week! :-)
Let's continue along the Zoya Summer PixieDust Collection with another sparkly textured polish today. Destiny is a bright coral pink with plenty of gold and coral shimmers and glitters that dries to a textured matte glitter finish.
Just like all the other polishes in the collection, Destiny has a great formula. It's smooth and easy to apply, spreading out easily across the nails. While its formula is slightly thinner, it's still sufficient to achieve good coverage in two coats.
Just a quick note about Destiny's similarity to OPI Jinx - they both have a pink coral base, but Jinx looks more orange due to its abundance of golden shimmers, while Destiny's more modest amount of golden shimmers makes it a few shades more pink to the eye.
You can find Destiny on Zoya.com for $9 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 - $9 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

OPI Jinx
Hi you guys! Hope your week is going along well! :-)
Today, I've got another gorgeous color from the OPI Bond Girls Collection to share with you. Jinx is a bright coral with golden shimmers and glitters that dries to a textured matte glitter finish.
This is such a rich and sparkly summer color, and definitely a must have for coral-lovers! Depending on the lighting and the warm/cool tones in your skin, it can shift from more of a pink/red coral to more of an orange coral. The formula is great, as expected. The first coat looks more pink, but the second coat adds the depth and richness to the coral color and achieves opaque coverage.
You can find Jinx at your local nail salons and beauty stores such as Ulta and Dillard's for a retail price of $9 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Not In This Galaxy
Hi you guys! Gosh, is this week dragging on or what? For the last two days, I've woken up thinking it's Friday already lol. :-)
Today, I've got another linear holographic polish from the China Glaze Hologlam Collection to share with you. Not In This Galaxy is a warm medium coral pink that dries to a subtle holo effect.
I just adore warm pinks like this one. It's a cheerful and girly shade, and I was immediately drawn to it. I was quite excited to see how this color would look as a holo, and to tell the truth, I was a little disappointed. The holo in here is quite subtle, the faintest of all the holos I tried from this collection. You can still see the holo effect clearly under direct bright lighting, but otherwise it may be hard to see. Formula-wise, I have no complaints. It's thin and smooth, reaching opaque coverage in two coats.
You can find Not In This Galaxy at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $14 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Mimosa's Before Mani's
Hi you guys! Hope you all had lovely and relaxing weekends! :-)
Today, continuing with the China Glaze Avant Garden Collection, I've got another of my picks to share with you. Mimosa's Before Mani's is a bright peachy coral with soft golden shimmers.
Overlooking the awful grammar in the name, this is a lovely summer color, so bright and cheerful! It appears have a pinker tint to the coral in the bottle, but it goes onto the nails more orange and slightly darker. The golden shimmers are soft but definitely noticeable if you look closely, though my personal bias always has me wishing for more prominent shimmers. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, reaching opaque coverage in two coats.
You can find Mimosa's Before Mani's at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.
