Zoya Tallulah

Hi you guys! Happy Friday! :-)

I've got a fun color to show you today as the week is coming to a close. Zoya's Tallulah is a medium vivid blue with tons of shimmers in a metallic finish.

Tallulah was released a few years ago as part of Zoya's Ooh-La-La collection. It is a balanced blue that doesn't lean much in any direction. It isn't too light or too dark, too bright or too muted. And it doesn't lean purple or navy. It is a straight up blue. The shimmers in it are fascinating. They are mostly bright blue, but there is also a green sheen to the shimmers and at times even a purple flash that is visible around the edges. This has a great formula that is thin, easy to control, and opaque in two coats.

You can find Tallulah on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

Zoya Persiphony

Pink is my absolute favorite color, but I realized recently that I didn't own many pink polishes. I couldn't believe it! I quickly went about in search of pink polishes to rectify my sad situation. I came across Zoya's Persiphony, and I knew it was love at first sight. Persiphony is a reddish pink with hints of coral and copper and loads of subtle fine gold shimmers in a metallic finish.

This is the color of ripe strawberries in a bottle. Depending on the lighting, it can look more red or more pink. I also love the warmth of this color that comes from its golden sheen and its copper and coral influence.  The formula is fabulous, as is typical of Zoya. It is thin and even to control, while still pigmented and opaque in two coats. When I wear Persiphony, it just makes me so happy that I often catch myself smiling while staring down at my nails. I think this is a perfect polish for me, and I can't think of anything I would change to make it better.

You can find Persiphony on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

Pomegranate Lacquer Autumnesque

Hi, lovely readers! Pomegranate Lacquer recently released their fall collection, and I have my personal favorite from the set to show you today. Autumnesque is a mostly reddish copper with tons of golden shimmers in a metallic finish.

The exact shade of this color is a bit hard to describe because it seems to draw from a lot of different colors. While it is predominantly red and copper, it also contains some brown, orange, gold, rose, and plum in it. The golden shimmers in the bottle translate well onto the nails without getting lost in the darker base. The formula is great. It applies smoothly and evenly, and is opaque in two thin coats. This gorgeous color really embodies fall and all of its warm vibrant shades.

You can find Autumnesque on PomegranateLacquer.com for $9 for 0.56 fl oz.

Pomegranate Lacquer Persimmon

Hi, you guys! Today, I have another fun Pomegranate polish to share with you. Persimmon is a light citrus-y orange with tons of golden shimmer.

I'm totally partial to the name. I loved eating the fruit as a child, and this just brings me back to that. This orange color is a unique one in my collection. I have lots of bright, neon oranges, and some vibrant jewel tone ones, but nothing quite like this more mellow but still fun and juicy orange. The formula is great. It is thin and smooth, and goes evenly onto the nails without any streaks. It has great coverage and is opaque in two quick coats. Overall, I love this color. It's fresh, vibrant, and totally cheerful. And it looks quite a bit like yummy orange sorbet on the nails. :-)

You can find Persimmon on PomegranateLacquer.com for $9 for 0.56 fl oz.

Pomegranate Lacquer Beach House

Hi, sweet readers! Hope you guys had a most fun and relaxing weekend! :-)

I have recently been introduced to a nail polish brand called Pomegranate Lacquer (what a cute, fresh name!), and I have a few of their lovely colors to share with you. Today, I'll start off with Beach House, a light and clean pastel turquoise that has mostly a creme finish with just the smallest hint of a pearly shine.

Beach House is so aptly named. It calls to my mind lazy summer days at the beach and one of my favorite chick lit books of the same name by Jane Green. While what you see in the swatches is a pretty balanced blue/green color, it actually leans more green than blue on my slightly warmer skintone, which my camera didn't quite capture. In fact, on me and in artificial lighting, I would say it looks to be a fresh, minty green. The formula is thin and smooth, and is opaque in two coats.

You can find Beach House on PomegranateLacquer.com for a regular price of $9 for 0.56 fl oz, but it is currently on sale for only $4.50.
