Zoya Blaze

Hi you guys! I'm super excited to be kicking off Zoya's Ornate Holiday 2012 Collection, comprised of six sparkling, jewel-toned holiday colors. First up in the collection is Blaze, a deep medium cranberry red with fine holographic micro-glitters.

This red has a jelly-like finish, so the glitters are able to shine through clearly without being obscured by the base. The micro-glitters are holographic, and reflect a variety of colors, including pink, red, purple, blue, and silver. These glitters are smaller and smoother than what you would normally associate with traditional glitters, so they dry to a glossy shine without any of the gritty look or feel. And you don't have any of the removal issues that come with traditional glitters. The formula is fabulous, and I just needed two coats for even and opaque coverage.

You can find Blaze on Zoya.com for $8 for 0.5 fl oz. If you are new to Zoya, you can get your first two bottles of Zoya for $8 total and free shipping! More info HERE.

Barielle Big Apple Red

Hi you guys! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! <3

I'm wrapping up my picks from Barielle's fall offerings today with Big Apple Red, a striking medium red with a creme finish.

This looks to be just slightly on the cool side to my eye, with a hint of berry to the red. The formula for this is excellent. It's smooth and buttery, and dries to such a shiny and reflective finish that it looks almost like a jelly. Believe it or not, you can get away with just one coat for this, but I did two coats for the swatches to add a little more depth to the red color. Overall, it's definitely a great red creme if you are looking for one! :-)

You can find Big Apple Red on Barielle.com for $8 for 0.45 fl oz, though there is an ongoing sale for buy one get one 50% off; or as part of the New York Style kit of five polishes for $25.

Barielle Central Park

Happy Friday, lovely readers! <3

Today I have another gorgeous shade from Barielle's fall polishes to share with you. Central Park is a medium jade green in a creme finish.

This is easily the most interesting and unique color of the fall collection. It's quite an unusual shade, with just a touch of teal and no yellow in its jade green. It's lush and vibrant while still being slightly muted. Application is easy peasy. It goes on smooth and even without pooling or streaking, and dries to a shiny finish. It is pigmented and opaque in two coats.

You can find Central Park on Barielle.com for $8 for 0.45 fl oz, though there is an ongoing sale for buy one get one 50% off; or as part of the New York Style kit of five polishes for $25.

Barielle Jordana's Skinny Jeans

Hi, you guys! It's Thursday, which means Friday and the weekend is just around the corner. We just have to hang on for one more day. :-)

Today, I've got another color from Barielle's fall shades to share with you. Jordana's Skinny Jeans is a denim blue with tons of blue and silver shimmers in a metallic finish.

This is a stunner in person. My pictures show this to be quite vibrant, but in real life, it is slightly more muted to match the faded look of denim. Just like denim, it also has a slight indigo tint to the blue. The formula is great, just like all the other colors in the collection. It is smooth and pigmented, and comes to opaque coverage in two thin coats.

You can find Jordana's Skinny Jeans on Barielle.com for $8 for 0.45 fl oz, though there is an ongoing sale for buy one get one 50% off; or as part of the Runaway Fever kit of five polishes for $25.

Barielle Rusted Vintage Boots

Today, I have another polish from Barielle's fall offerings to share with you. Rusted Vintage Boots is a brick red with brown and orange tones in a creme finish.

This is totally the color of fall leaves. The formula is smooth, pigmented, and fast-drying. It is amazingly opaque in just one coat, but the first coat leans more red, so I did another coat just to give the color more depth and to bring out more of the brown and orange shades. Still, even with that second coat, you will see that it looks redder and darker on the nails than in the bottle.

You can find Rusted Vintage Boots on Barielle.com for $8 for 0.45 fl oz, though there is an ongoing sale for buy one get one 50% off; or as part of the Runaway Fever kit of five polishes for $25.

Barielle One Shade of Gray

Happy Monday, you guys! Hope your week is off to a rousing start! :-)

A while ago, Barielle came out with their fall collection comprised of 10 new shades, and this week I've got my picks from that set to share with you. First up is One Shade of Gray which, as the name implies, is a medium gray with a creme finish.

The name made me giggle slightly. Though I haven't read the books, I've certainly heard of them, and I thought the name is quite clever and appropriate. :-) While this appears as mostly a steel gray, it does have some taupe and lilac undertones that can show up in certain lightings. The formula is great. It is smooth and thin, and opaque in just two quick coats.

You can find One Shade of Gray on Barielle.com for $8 for 0.45 fl oz, though there is an ongoing sale for buy one get one 50% off; or as part of the Runaway Fever kit of five polishes for $25.
