Zoya Noot

Hi, wonderful readers! It's Friday, which means the weekend is here. I am totally ready for that. :-)

Today, let's wrap up Zoya's Designer Fall 2012 Collection with Noot, a dark green with hints of olive and gray tones in a creme finish.

Compared with Evvie, the other green in the collection, Noot is darker and more murky, while Evvie is lighter and more subdued. Noot also has more olive and brown tones while Evvie has more gray tones. Noot has a great formula, as is typical for Zoya polishes, and is opaque in two smooth coats.

Now that I have tried the whole collection, my favorites are Rekha for its vibrant and classy color, and Natty for its smoky, subdued uniqueness. I would love to know what you think of this collection. What are the hits and misses for you? Will any of them be making it onto your wishlist?

Zoya Evvie

Hi you guys! Today, I have one of the two greens from Zoya's Designer Fall 2012 Collection to show you. Evvie is a muted, smoky medium green with a creme finish.

Evvie was originally released as part of the limited edition Zoya Peter Som trio earlier this year. I would say this color is mainly green, but you can definitely see the gray influence, as well as hints of teal, depending on the lighting. This has a great formula, with every coat bringing smooth and even coverage, and it is opaque in two coats.

Zoya Natty

Hi you guys! Today, I have another color from Zoya's Designer Fall 2012 Collection to show you. Natty is a dark and dusty steel blue with a creme finish.

It has a great formula, with just the right balance of consistency, not too thick or too thin. It goes on smooth and is opaque in two coats. Natty is one of the highlights of the collection. With some of the other colors in the collection, I feel like I have seen them before, but not so with Natty. For me, its uniqueness makes this the most interesting and one of the must-haves from the collection.

Zoya Monica

Continuing with Zoya's Designer Fall 2012 Collection, today I have Monica to show you. Monica is a dark grape purple with strong blue undertones in a creme finish.

Compared with Toni, the other dark purple from the collection, Monica is a few shades darker and more blue. While Toni leans more red and comes across as a burgundy purple, Monica's blue tint makes it more of a grape/eggplant purple. Monica's formula is a little thicker, so a few drops of thinner would be helpful. Otherwise, you will need to overload the brush a little, so that it doesn't run out of polish and pull and drag as it reaches the nail's free edge.

Zoya Toni

No matter how much I dread Mondays, it always manages to arrive—without fail—each week. But to look on the bright side, that means five more days until the weekend! *grins madly*

Continuing with Zoya's Designer Fall 2012 Collection, today I have Toni to show you. Toni is a dark, muted plum/wine color with a creme finish.

This is definitely a vampy, fall color. It goes on the nails smooth and even, and dries fast to a shiny finish, just about a shade darker than what you see in the bottle. The only thing to note about the formula is that if you don't work fast enough or if you don't overfill the brush slightly, you might end up with a little pulling by the time your brush strokes reach the nail's free edge.

Zoya Rekha

Hi you guys! Happy weekend! :-)

Another collection in Zoya's Fall 2012 offerings is the NYFW Designer Collection. It is comprised of six dark and somewhat muted cremes. Today, I'll start off the collection with Rekha, a bold, cool-toned red with a creme finish.

Rekha was originally released as a part of the limited edition Zoya Bibhu Mohapatra trio earlier this year. In the Designer Collection, this stands out as the most vibrant color, deep and rich without being vampy. Rekha has a great formula. It is pigmented and smooth, flowing nicely onto the nails and opaque in just one coat. You will see the color's cool tone in that first coat, as the red shows up with a hint of a raspberry pink. Adding a second coat (what you see in the swatches) will match it to the deeper red that is in the bottle.
