Nicole by OPI Here We Kome A-Karoling

Today I have another one of my picks from Nicole by OPI's Kardashian Holiday Collection to share with you. Here We Kome A-Karoling is a deep eggplant purple with subtle pink/purple shimmers.

The shimmers in here are incredibly subtle, only coming out to sparkle under sunlight and bright artificial lights. Just like the rest of the collection, this one has a great formula. It goes onto the nail in thin and even coats, without any streaking or pooling. And I needed just the standard two coats for opacity. While this rich and dark vampy color is more associated with the fall season than the holiday season, it's beautiful none-the-less, especially if you are a fan of vampy colors.

Nicole by OPI Keeping Up With Santa

Continuing with Nicole by OPI's Kardashian Kolor Holiday 2012 Collection, I have another of my picks to share with you today. Keeping Up with Santa is a deep, cool-toned medium red with subtle red shimmers and a metallic finish.

This red leans slightly cool, with some light raspberry tones in the red. It has a fantastic formula. It is easy to achieve thin and even coats, and I needed just two for opaque coverage. For a metallic finish, this one has barely perceptible brush strokes once the polish is dried. This is a fun and festive red, great for this time of the year. :-)

Nicole by OPI Deck the Dolls

Hi, you guys! This week I have my picks from Nicole by OPI's Kardashian Kolor Holiday 2012 Collection to share with you. Kicking this off today is Deck the Dolls, a medium blue jewel tone with a hint of teal and a metallic finish.

What drew me in to this color (or "kolor" haha... ok bad joke) is how rich and vibrant this blue is, yet it still retains its brightness. The formula is a little thinner and not as pigmented, so I needed three coats for total opaque coverage. Dry time is fast, so wait time is tolerably short between coats. It is a metallic, so you do need to take care while applying. The brush strokes aren't bad at all, and they mostly disappear once the polish is dry. And all you blue lovers will be happy to hear that this blue does not stain upon removal. :-)

China Glaze Winter Holly

Happy Monday, you guys! Hope you had a lovely and relaxing weekend! :-)

Today, I'm wrapping up the set of colors I have to share with you from China Glaze's Holiday Joy Collection. Winter Holly is a dark forest green glitter polish with flashes of gold and some subtle holographic sparkles.

This is one of my favorites from the collection. The forest green is a beautiful rich color, and the overall look is so festive and sparkly. The formula for this one is a little thinner, so I needed three coats for even and opaque glitter coverage. It doesn't feel too gritty to me and is quite smooth for a glitter, so you may be able to get away without top coat.
