China Glaze Scandalous Shenanigans

Happy Saturday, you guys! It's finally the weekend... woo hoo! :D

Today, I wanted to share with you the last of my picks from the China Glaze Autumn Nights Collection. Scandalous Shenanigans is a dark sapphire blue with a metallic finish.

This is a true dark blue that doesn't lean purple or teal. The subtle shimmers in here give a slight denim quality to the blue depending on the light. The formula is pretty good for the most part. It's just a bit thicker than my ideal consistency, so I had some trouble with the index finger, but got the hang of it by the time I got to my middle finger. :-) It's complete opaque in just one coat. I tried a second coat on my thumb just to be sure and it looks exactly the same before and after, so I left the rest at one coat. As with dark colors like this, it did stain the skin around my nails a bit during removal, but a few hand washings took care of that.

You can find Scandalous Shenanigans at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Tongue & Chic

Hi, you guys! :) Is it really only Thursday? It feels like it should have been Friday like two days ago lol.

Today, I've got another of my picks from the China Glaze Autumn Nights Collection to share with you. Tongue & Chic is a dark, cool-toned, teal green with a metallic finish.

This is another one of those blackened-around-the-edges colors that manages to look both rich and dark at the same time. The formula is great. It's thin enough to afford lots of control, making application easy. It's also pigmented, so you need just one coat for total coverage. And since the shimmers are subtle, it dries without any streak marks. The only negative is that, as usual with colors this dark, you can get a little bit of staining upon removal, but it's gone after a few hand washings.

You can find Tongue & Chic at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Red-y & Willing

Hi, you guys! Happy middle-of-the-week! :)

Today, I've got one of the jewel tones from the China Glaze Autumn Nights Collection to share with you. Red-y & Willing is a deep cool-toned ruby red with a metallic finish.

It's a terrifically glamorous and vampy red, with blackened edges that's sure to be perfect for the fall season. The formula is good for the most part, though I had a little trouble getting clean lines around the cuticles. I'm not exactly sure why that was. It's probably a combination of the China Glaze thin brush needing more strokes per nail and the polish drying just a smidgen fast. It's nicely pigmented so that one coat is almost good enough, though I did an extra coat for the swatches to even everything out for the camera and add a little more depth to the red.

You can find Red-y & Willing at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.

China Glaze Rendezvous With You

Hi, you guys! Hope your week is going well. We're supposed to be getting a heat wave over the next few days. I think this is the last hurrah before summer is really over. I hope I can get out of work for a bit to enjoy those last rays of summer sunshine. :-)

Today, I've got another gorgeous foil from the China Glaze Autumn Nights Collection to share with you. Rendezvous With You is a deep rich eggplant purple with tons of silver shimmers in a foil finish.

I think this is just gorgeous. Often with colors this dark, the murky base obscures the shimmers and the color ends up being quite drab, but not here! :-) While the shimmers and foils are quite prominent in here, I like that they don't overwhelm the base, so you still get a lot of that mysterious purple. This has a great formula. It applies smoothly and evenly without any issues. I just needed two quick coats and it's ready to go.

You can find Rendezvous With You at your local nail salons and at beauty stores such as Ulta and Sally Beauty for a retail price of $7 for 0.5 fl oz.
